Smoke Detector Installation

  • July 16, 2014

Each year, the Vera Cruz Fire Department partners with the American Red Cross to conduct free smoke detector inspections and installations throughout the community. This collaborative effort ensures that residents have working smoke alarms in their homes—an essential step in improving fire safety and reducing risks. Through door-to-door visits and scheduled appointments, the team provides new detectors, checks existing ones, and educates families on fire prevention, all at no cost. It’s a powerful example of proactive community outreach and lifesaving partnership in action.
